On the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, under the auspices of Archbishop Shahe Panossian, Prelate of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Lebanon; Archimandrite Mashtots Zahterian of the Catholic Zmmar Monastery, and Rev. Raffi Meserlian of the Union of Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East, and organized by the Hamazkayin Regional Executive Board for Lebanon, and with the participation of the Hamazakyin artistic groups, on April 22, 2025, at the Casino Du Liban, an event commemorated the Nemesis operation with an artistic program.
In addition to the spiritual leaders, representatives of the three traditional Armenian political parties were in attendance, along with former and current political office holders, representatives of Armenian organizations, artists, and many community members.
The theme of the day was presented in an artistic manner by educational director of the Hamazkayin Art Schools, Kamelia Yerganian, who said, “Strewn around the world, Armenians witness the continuation of the 1915 genocide and ask ourselves if we are pursuing the path of national despair, self-abandonment, and suicide. We are all weaker. Which a-national ideologies were able to deafen us nationally, from historical Armenia to Artsakh, down to the handful of soil on Yerablur?”
Yerganian said the artists on the stage are committed to Armenian culture and history. They will present the story of Nemesis, which will inspire us alongside our remembering of the victims of the Genocide.
