Taking advantage of Boghos Snabian’s visit to Armenia, the Hamazkayin office in Armenia organized a meeting between the writer and Armenian literary circles. During the meeting Snabian’s book, “Kirkerou kovn I ver” (“Up across the books,”) a brief anthology of the writings of Hagop Oshagan, was presented and discussed.
The meeting took place October 4, 2012 at the Hamazkayin offics. Writers Ruben Hovsepyan, Norair Adalyan, Movses Bchakjian, Hrach Saribekyan, literature specialists Arkmenik Nigoghossyan, Siranoush Dvoyan, Anoush Abelyan, as well as speakers of the Symposium dedicated to Hagop Oshagan were among the attendees.
Lilit Galstyan welcomed the audience. She highly praised the initiation of similar meetings as opportunities to once again appraise the literary legacy of Hagop Oshagan, as well as to discuss literature and contemporary literary developments.
Afterwards, Boghos Snabian spoke about the anthology “Up across the books,” in which articles and literary criticisms written by Hagop Kifejian (Hagop Oshagan) and others still unknown to wider literary circles are published for the first time.
Afterwards, a spontaneous literary discussion took place. Ruben Hovsepyan and Norair Adalyan shared their thoughts about Oshagan. Also, the audience spoke about the undeniable and valuable influence and legacy of Hagop Oshagan. They also highly praised Boghos Snabian’s work and devotion as an Oshagan specialist and his publications dedicated to Hagop Oshagan and wished that he continue his productive work.
