On December 13, 2019, the hall of the Artists’ Union of Armenia hosted the opening of “Yes Em” (“I am”) Hamazkayin’s showcase of artwork done by young people. The show honored the renowned Komitas’s 150th birthday.
The exhibit displayed the artwork of 32 Armenian youth, who were selected through a competitive process. The coordinators of this project were the painters Arthur Sharafyan, Ashot Avakyan, Armen Vahramyan, and Shota Voskanyan, and the sculptor Vigen Avetis.
Spartak Karabakhtsian, a member of the Hamazkayin Central Executive Board and chairperson of the Hamazkayin Fund in Armenia, assured the young artists that the power of their work would soon be inspiring the country, and a new generation of talented artists.
