Guitar Ensemble Travels to Armenia for “Rebirth”

The guitar ensemble of the Hamazkayin Parsegh Ganachian Conservatory, on April 13, 2019, participated in the international competition and festival “Veratznund” (Rebirth) at the Sayat Nova Conservatory in Yerevan. The ensemble, led by Megerdich Mikayelian, won first place in its category.

The jury comprised guitarists Dimitri Illarionov, Mr. Mikayelian, and Hakob Jaghatspanyan. The ensemble was also invited to the music school of the Gohar ensemble in Gyumri, where it performed for the school’s students and instructors. Mr. Mikayelian taught a masterclass at the school.
