The family of Hamazkayin in Lebanon had its 21st Regional Meeting on 16 and 17 July 2012 at the Aghpalian-HMEM sports and cultural center. The Central Committee of Hamazkayin, representatives of chapters and units of Hamazkayin in Lebanon, as well as invited members of Hamazkayin met to discuss the last two years’ activities of the past Regional Committee and to finalize the cultural strategy and accomplished projects of the new Committee for the coming two years.
After thoroughly discussing the various activities of the past Regional Committee of Hamazkayin, the meeting affirmed that true to the cultural legacy and total dedication of its founders, the Regional Committee has exerted every effort to record valued successes in various spheres of culture and art ranging from music to dance, from literary events to theater and from plastic art to other expressions of art. After making this affirmation the meeting focused on the qualitative improvement and success of the Parsegh Ganachian Music College, Gayaneh Dance School, Knar Dnace Troup, Gargach and Aik Choirs, and Kasbar Ipegian Theater Group of Hamazkayin. Consequently, the meeting decided to renew its dedication and increase the plans to continue the eighty-year-old path of Hamazkayin in serving all the cultural needs of the Armenian community in Lebanon and to satisfy its great expectations.
Toward the end of the meeting and for the next two years the meeting participants elected a new Regional Committee with the following members:
