The Hamazkaine Arshak & Sophie Galstaun College is delighted to announce a major milestone with student enrolments reaching 350.

As the only pre-kindergarten to year 12, Armenian bilingual independent school in Australia, Galstaun College has had a proud tradition in nurturing students to achieve not only their full academic potential but to also transmit our unique language, culture and traditions spanning millennia to our future generations and create future leaders in the wider Armenian and Australian community.

This milestone comes at an important point for the College as it continues to invest significantly in all aspects of its educational programmes, which has seen the College's students achieve strong NAPLAN results in literacy and numeracy. This has been coupled by strong higher school certificate results.

Principal of Galstaun College, Mr. Edward Demirdjian remarked, "this milestone is a testament to the trust that parents have in Galstaun College in ensuring the College delivers high academic outcomes in a safe and nurturing environment for all our students".

"Through the continued investments that the College's Board makes along with the dedication of all our teachers and parents the College will continue to soar to new heights. It is a testament to the entire College community that our primary classes are at capacity including for the first time a two stream kindergarten class" Demirdjian added.

Over the past 12 months, the College has undertaken a significant expansion in its information technology infrastructure with the deployment of the latest smart boards and iPads throughout the College to ensure teachers and students have access to latest educational resources.

2023 marks the 95th anniversary of the foundation of Hamazkaine and as a Hamazkaine College this milestone is a tribute to the vision of Hamazkaine in nurturing education and culture.
