The Hamazkayin Kasbar Ipegian Theater remembered the 40-year career of actor and director Zohrab Yacoubian at an event held on June 24, 2024, at the Hagop Der Melkonian Hall.
Opening the event, Nanor Sarkisian-Der Sarkisian said Zohrab Yacoubian, at a young age, in the early 1970s, had the guts to come forward with some friends and forge new directions in theater with willpower and vision and understanding, creating a new atmosphere through idiosyncratic initiatives.
She noted that Yacoubian had few opportunities to cooperate with theatrical and cultural organizations. Without enjoying the auspices of an organization, he worked on his own for many years and maintained his individual style and left an unparalleled stamp on theater.
