On the third day of this year’s Hamazkayin Youthlinks program, the participants met in Venice’s Armenian Culture Studies and Documentation Center, where they became familiar with the creation, evolution, and development of Armenian music. Current American University of Armenia professor and former student of Yerevan’s Komitas State Conservatory Tsovinar Artsruni led the workshop.
During lunch, the group received a beautiful surprise in the form of a meeting with Armenian jazz pianist and composer Tigran Hamasyan.
Finally, the participants had the opportunity to explore and shop in Venice.
That evening, it was difficult to part. There was not a single dry eye, with the shining of tears reflecting how the participants’ separation from each other could only be tolerated with the promise that they would meet again.
Thus concluded this year’s Hamazkayin Youthlinks program.
