
On February 1, 2025, the Hamazkayin Aris Stambolian Cultural Center was ceremonially opened. The program was led by Hovig Seraydarian, vice chairperson of the Hamazkayin Regional Executive Board for the Western USA, who opened the center.
Board chairperson Manoug Joukhajian spoke about the years of difficult effort that was necessary for Hamazkayin to acquire its own center in the region. He thanked the main benefactors, Aris and Angela Stambolian and Albert and Terry Bezjian, and thanked all those who had a role in making the center possible.
On behalf of the Hamazkayin Central Executive Board, Dr. Dikran Babikian congratulated the community and the Hamazkayin family for the great achievement of having their own cultural center. He recalled that it took years of effort by dedicated people to make it possible, along with the generosity of benefactors who understand the importance of maintaining and developing our culture. He thanked the successive regional executive boards for their efforts
Dr. Babikian invited Aris and Angela Stambolian to the stage to receive the Hamazkayin Central Executive Board medal.
Archbishop Kegham Khacherian, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the United States, was grateful for the dedication of the Hamazkayin family, the benefactors, and all the volunteers committed to preserving and promoting Armenian cultural values. He performed a blessing ceremony and the honored guests toured the center and saw an arts exhibit.
