The third day of YouthLinks Europe started with rain. Participants watched Serouj Hovsepian’s short film, Nahabed (2001), which takes the form of a young man’s internal struggles and difficult choice when confronting a newly occurring genocide.
The group visited some sites in Vienna and had lunch. They then went to the Mekhitarist Congregation, visiting the church, center, and museum. Father V. Hovagimian greeted the group and showed everyone around. The center left a huge impression on the participants, with its wealth and great cultural heritage.
Hamazkayin Central Executive Board member Hasmig Shahinian presented the parson and congregation with a letter of thanks and a copy of a publication of Hamazkayin’s Yerevan Office, Endangered Heritage, vol. 1.
She likewise presented letters of gratitude and gifts to the instructors who had accompanied the program. She gave each participant a certificate.
A farewell dinner followed.
The closing took place on Sunday, May 5, 2025. Twenty university students had spent three days in workshops, cultural activities, and visits in a warm atmosphere.
