On the moonlit evening of June 27, 2024, in a warm summer atmosphere, the Hamazkayin Regional Executive Board for Greece held a ceremony to award certificates to the graduates of its Armenian-language learning program, under the banner, “From the 4th Generation to the 5th.”
This brought another two-year session to its conclusion.
The program began in 2018 to help the preservation of Western Armenian, which is severely endangered in diasporan communities.
Programs like this one serve as a shield, allowing the Armenian language to develop and grow, consistent with the mission of Hamazkayin.
Chairperson Julianna Manugian and board members were present. The teacher, Verjin Garabedian, spoke briefly and greeted the participants, including the members of the graduating class, who had participated wholeheartedly in the classes.
Under the stars, six new graduates received their well-deserved certificates. We congratulate everyone.
