On June 29, 2024, Nicosia's Nareg school hall hosted the “Hekiyat” Theater Workshop's students, who presented “A Picture of Toumanian,” a compilation of Hovhannes Toumanian's fairytales.
With this showcase, the theater group concluded its second year with a performance that left its audience impressed and wanting more.
With the well-known director Vache Donerian in charge, the group presented seven vignettes: Tern u Tzaran (The master and the servant), Sutlik Vorskane (The lying hunter), Ankhelk marde (The unwise man), Barekendane, Khelokn u himare (The wise person and the idiot), Sutasane (The liar), and Kikos. They transported their audience to Toumanian’s fairytale world.
Encouraged, the board decided to continue the workshop notwithstanding all the challenges.
