The Hamazkayin Cyprus Isolated Region held its twenty-third annual General Assembly on September 30, 2024, at the Homenetmen-AYMA Club in Nicosia.
After considering the board’s activities over the last year, the assembly concluded that the board led in a praiseworthy manner in all areas of the chapter’s activity and especially in arranging joint performances with the Kusan Choir from Lebanon and the Theatrical Workshop initiative.
After approving revised bylaws for the Isolated Region, the assembly decided to create a new chapter in Limassol at the request of members who live there.
The General Assembly adopted resolutions related to the activities of the dance and theater ensembles, Cultural Evenings, and to maintaining outreach to the Limassol, Paphos, and Larnaca communities. The resolutions included a commitment to drawing more young people to these programs.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the following Chapter Executive Board was elected unanimously: George Torosian (chair), Armen Bakalian, Arto Tavitian, Syuzanna Nazaryan, and Zaven Bakalian.
