The Twenty-Sixth Regional Convention of the Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society Syria Region took place on June 29, 2025, in the Levon Shant Hall. A representative of the Hamazkayin Central Executive Board, a representative of the relevant body, the outgoing Regional Executive Board, delegates from Aleppo, Damascus, Latakia, Kessab, and Qamishli, and representatives from the Armenian Studies Institute, the Zvartnots Choir, the Levon Shant Theater, and the Parsegh Ganachian Music Ensemble.
The Regional Executive Board read its report covering activities and finances for the previous two years. Delegates had an opportunity to ask questions and then to evaluate the performance of the board. Thereafter, resolutions were considered for the coming two years.
The prelate, Archbishop Magar Ashkarian visited the convention along with Rev. Fr. Armen Kalaydjian. The prelate bestowed his blessings on the convention and participated in a group photograph. At the end of the convention, a new Regional Executive Board was elected. Then the representative of the Hamazkayin Central Executive Board and the representative of the relevant body had a chance to speak.
