
In response to a proposal from the Hamazkayin Regional Executive Board for Greece, the Cultural Department of the City of Athens organized a concert dedicated to world-renowned Armenian classical composers.
On March 29, 2025, the magnificent “Maria Callas” Municipal Concert Hall of the Athens Opera became the rendezvous point for classical music lovers. Characteristic pieces of Armenian song and music resonated, captivating the large audience. It was a festival of Armenian music. The Athens Symphony Orchestra, the renowned Armenian-Greek violinist Jannis Georgiadis, and the talented singer Siran Chalikian played immortal Armenian music and filled every corner of the hall with the sweet melodies of the homeland.
The performance was attended by the Primate of the Armenians of Greece, members of the Diocesan Council, Hamazkayin's cultural circle, representatives of community organization, and Greek music professionals and members of the public. In the packed hall, they warmly applauded the presentation of Armenian culture.
