Garo Sahagian spoke about Armenian Church architecture on November 15, 2024, at the Hamazkayin Cultural Center in Aleppo. The talk was held under the aegis of the Hamazkayin Regional Executive Board for Syria and organized by the Hamazkayin Institute for Armenian Studies. It was attended by members of the board, institute faculty and students, and members of the public.
Gilda Deirmenjian opened the event. She defined architecture and specifically Armenian architecture, which, she said, has specific artistic characteristics.
Garo Sahagian shared models and slides of Armenian churches to move participants into a spiritual world ruled by Armenian architecture, culture, history, and faith. The images were all new.
At the conclusion of the event, the chairwoman of the Regional Executive Board said a few words of thanks.
