Armenia
The Shirak Branch of the Union of Writers of Armenia launched a journal titled, Yeghekan Pogh (Reed). The title evokes the classical account of the birth of the god Vahagn from the flames bursting out of a red reed in an apricot sea.
The journal is rich in content and heavy with literature, ideas, modernity, novelty, translations, and previously unpublished pieces. In the prose section, honored guests (like Spartak Gharabaghtsyan and Nektar Simoni) are included. In poetry, a selection of the best poems is included.
The year is a 90th anniversary for Patvakan Ghukasyan and centenary for Karapet Hovsepyan, and they are celebrated accordingly with plentiful representation of their work.
