
On December 22, 2022, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Moscow held a conference of the representatives of Armenian Sunday schools and cultural centers operating in or around Moscow.
Among the participants were Balik Galemkerian, educational director of the executive board of the Russia Organization of Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society, and Artur Paytyan, the chair of the board. Comrade Galemkerian, in his remarks, emphasized the importance of maintaining Armenian identity in the diaspora and added that Hamazkayin has been doing that for almost a century around the world.
The year-old organization in Russia is continuing its mission of establishing schools and other cultural institutions.
Comrade Paytyan stressed that students should be imbued with national character and an orientation toward Armenia, as well as Armenian language skills. His speech included excerpts from poems.
