An exhibit of photographs by Davit Ghahramanyan titled, “Eyes of War,” was launched on September 27, 2021, in the Stepanakert Art Gallery. The exhibit is sponsored by the Hamazkayin Artsakh Office.
The exhibit includes some 100 photographs of the 44-day war. They portray the front line and the home front, including conscripts and volunteer fighters, life in bomb shelters, and demolished buildings. The images from Shushi, Karintak, and the front line are especially notable. In Ghahramanyan’s portraits, the fighters are motivated and in high fighting spirits. The photographs also portray the sacred work of Artsakh’s emergency services.
Lusine Gharakhanyan. minister of education, science, culture, and sport of Artsakh, said the images show the heroic and indomitable spirit of those days. She said Gharakhanyan portrayed that very spirit himself.
