The exhibition, “Beirut: Cradle of Light,” at the Hamazkayin Lucy Tutunjian Gallery on July 2, 2022, was opened by Catholicos Aram I, on the occasion of the blessing of the chrism at Antelias, under the chairmanship of Archbishop Shahe Panossian, prelate. Many church leaders and dignitaries were in Lebanon for the blessing of the chrism and attended the opening. They were joined by members of the Hamazkayin Central Executive Board and Lebanese-Armenian artists.
The exhibit brings together the work of Lebanese-Armenian artists who died in the last few years because of the pandemic or of other causes: Gyuvder, Rozvart Siserian, Zaven Khdeshian, and gallery benefactor Lucy Tutunjian. Also exhibited were works by sculptors Hrayr, Misak Terzian, Krikor Agopian, Jacqueline Ohanian, Gyulen Torosian-Der Boghosian, Raffi Tokatlian and Mirey Gogigian:
