Pargev Ashoti Barseghyan, Ph.D., who holds the Religious Studies Chair at the Yerevan State University Faculty of Theology, on June 28, 2024, gave a lecture at the All-Russian Exhibition Center in Moscow organized by the Hamazkayin Russia Organization.
The speaker provided valuable information about the Armenian pagan pantheon, the transformation of certain pagan habits and rituals after the imposition of Christianity on Armenia, the ties between various celebrations and rituals of the Armenian church and those pagan celebrations and rituals, and about the early authors Agatangelos, Moses of Chorene, the epic Sasna Tzrer, and more.
