On February 23, 2024, the officers of the Hamazkayin Central Executive Board received a delegation from the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Matenadaran), invited to Lebanon by the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia. The delegation comprised Ara Khzmalyan (director), Vahe Torosyan (deputy director), Gurgen Gasparyan, and Mihran Minasyan.
The guests thanked the Central Executive Board for the gift, in 2018, of 27 manuscripts. The best repository for handwritten manuscripts is the Matenadaran in Armenia; that is why the board then in office made the donation.
The delegates met also with the administrators and faculty of the Djemaran and visited the school library, which holds over 40,000 volumes, a press collection, and many archival books.
They spoke highly of the activities of Hamazkayin. With the board, they discussed possibilities for cooperation.
