On September 30 the Hayassa Armenian community that was created several months ago in Nantes, France, opened the doors of the first-ever Armenian Cultural House to about 3,000 Armenians. At the Armenian Cultural House children of Armenian descent will have the opportunity to study Armenian language, literature, Armenian history, as well as Armenian folk dances.
Thanks to the efforts of teachers Elena Shahinian, Shoushanig Kevorkian, Rouzanna Atamian, as well as dance instructors Hagop Aslian and Datev Hayrabedian, the students will get an introduction to Armenian culture and history. This project is further proof that our reinforcement lies in our unity. This is the only thing that can save us from assimilation. We wish a joyful trip to everyone taking this road.
