Within the framework of an All-Armenian Youth Camp sponsored by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, an exhibition of photographs by Shushi-born photographer Vladimir Gevorgyan was held.
Set in the heart of nature, under the open sky, approximately 40 photographs were displayed, telling the story of the Armenian fortress city of Shushi. The exhibition, titled “Let’s Ascend to Shushi,” encapsulated the spiritual meaning of ascending to Shushi in spirit and thought.
“Let us never stop ascending to Shushi with our thoughts, our goals, and all the paths within us. The more we keep the road to Shushi busy inside ourselves, the closer we will be to realizing our pan-Armenian dream,” said Hermine Avagyan, director of the Hamazkayin Artsakh Office, in opening remarks.
Photographer Vladimir Gevorgyan shared the story behind his photographs with the 400 young people who had traveled from 17 countries around the world. He also expressed his greatest dream: to one day again photograph the sunrise over Shushi.
