The Australia Region of Hamazkayin held its 26th convention on March 27, 2026, at the Armenian Cultural Centre in Willoughby. It was a special convention held for the limited purpose of electing the region’s delegation to the Hamazkayin General Assembly.
There were 20 delegates with vote representing the region’s six branches and the Regional Executive Board and 7 delegates with voice only. Also present were the representative of the Hamazkayin Central Executive Board and the representative of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Central Committee for Australia.
A summary quadrennial report of the Central Executive Board was read. After discussion, the work of the board was evaluated. The convention debated and adopted resolutions to present to the Hamazkayin Tenth General Assembly, which is scheduled to take place May 28 to 31 in Yerevan.
The convention then elected the region’s delegates and wished them a safe journey.
