
An opening ceremony for the new office of the Hamazkayin “Vahan Navasardian” Chapter was held on July 12, 2025.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was conducted by Very Reverend Father Vazken Keoshgerian, assigned to Latakia and the coastal region; a representative of the relevant body for Latakia; Comrade Sarine Giragosian-Kevorkian, representative of the Hamazkayin Regional Executive Board for Syria; chairperson of the Latakia St. Asdvadzadzin Church Parish Council; and Comrade Arshak Deirmendjian, chairperson of the Hamazkayin “Vahan Navasardian” Chapter Executive Board.
The event was also attended by representatives of various associations and Hamazkayin members.
An opening speech was delivered by the Chapter Executive Board secretary Maggie Manjikian Khodanian. She stated that this office is not merely a building but a special place where Hamazkayin members will continue their collective work in the fields of education, culture, national identity, and community service. “This new chapter opens with the unified efforts of all of us, and today’s revitalized space is a testament to our collective will and tireless commitment,” she added.
She thanked everyone who contributed to the renovation of the office, from the initial idea to its completion. She expressed her hope that the office would become a vibrant space for fruitful initiatives, creative discussions, and ongoing collaboration.
The priest warmly congratulated the Chapter Executive Board and members on the opening of the new office and wished them a productive future.
The event concluded with a reception held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
