Watching Pinocchio performed in Armenian was a wonderful experience. Based on Carlo Collodi’s Adventures of Pinocchio, the play was dramatized by Millie Hardy Sims, and performed by the Hamazkayin Theater Company directed by Gohar Karapetyan. The Armenian translation was done primarily by Sarkis Mahserejian.
The Hamazkayin Theater Company noted in the playbill that it always presents its productions in Armenian, so that young people enjoy the art of theater in their mother tongue, apply their knowledge of Armenian, see and hear interesting and educational stories, and enjoy opportunities to receive collective pleasure in an Armenian atmosphere.
